One of the hottest bridal accessory trends that was seen in 2009 was vintage couture, with Bridie's reporting a rise in demand for bird cage veils, custom made veils and vintage accessories, as well as colored pearl jewelry which was bought to match bridesmaid outfits. When asked about how the recession has affected bride's way of buying accessories for their wedding, Bridie's said they are seeing brides invest in their accessories, "Spending less on the gown and dressing up their attire with fabulous & fun keepsake baubles." 1. Keep in mind that cheap jewelry will look cheap, so budget appropriately. You don't want plastic pearls when you just spent a $1,000 on a gown. The pearls on your gown are not plastic so go with glass or Freshwater pearls.
2. Let your own personal style emulate through your accessories to accent your dream gown with a bauble that will be captivating yet not over done.
3. For your bridesmaids, focus on quality not quantity. Sometimes brides buy several gifts when a simple crystal pendant & necklace set is perfect. You are giving the stunning gift of elegance so they shimmer on your wedding day as well as a gift that signifying the importance of their friendship.
