As fall approaches, the warm sunny days are coming to a close and the chilly nights are drawing in. Try a cosy color scheme of oranges, reds and brown to reflect the leaves falling down around you. Choose bronze colored shoes and accessories, and dress your bridesmaids in burnt orange gowns. Collect dried leaves in gorgeous russet colors and write your guests names on in gold pen to use as unique, rustic place names.
In place of floral centerpieces, create topiaries, or even elaborate wreaths of fall foliage and candles. The warm twinkling lights of candles will add a soft, seasonal atmosphere to your wedding. Just be sure not to place open flames too close to dried leaves! Try using flameless candles to create the same twinkling effect without the fire hazard.
Continue the theme in your guest book by sticking leaves on the front cover and even within the pages. You can even use interesting shaped branches as part of your centerpieces – attach flowers and berries to brighten then up, or hang small cards from them and ask your guests to write you a message or wish for your wedding.
Sugar frosted fruits such as plums and grapes make great looking buffet items, while pumpkins can be carved with romantic heart motifs in an interesting twist on a Fall tradition.
Fall weddings offer the perfect opportunity to incorporate chocolate – both in it's rich, deep color and into your wedding menu. Try serving up chocolate and chilli truffles for favors to add a touch of luxury and heat to your celebrations.
